Differences

  1. Well now there, we have some differences. Although we are both musicians, we are experts in different types. I am a classical artist, while you are a jazz artist. You had slightly completely different problems that I. I did not have to deal with segregation...but more of finding people to write for...and simply getting out of the way of the wars.

  2. Even though we are both musicians, we differ in the style of music that we play. While my style classical, yours is jazz. I'm sure that this difference is a result of the differences in our heritage. As an English woman, I was more exposed to classical music and since you are American, you would have been more exposed to jazz music.

  3. Yeah! I agree with you both, my style is very different although, everybody always needs to learn the basics of music which is classical. Because thats the origin of music. My jazz and Jazz in general came from classical roots just Jazz is classical with extra freely grace notes and do-whops and uhh a different style! I also enjoy your music! Both Ms. Marie and Sir Stravinsky!

  4. Unfortunately we have many differences, Mister Ellington. For starters, you’re inspirations were your family members. Your parents to be exact. My inspiration was quite different as family did not play a large role in my life but rather Boris Lacrox and Rene Laique, two human beings in which I had scarcely known when I idolized them. Another way, in which we are very different is that we come from two very different worlds. You were raised in a different country than I with different cultural beliefs which ultimately leads us to being very different. Why segregation separated you, being a woman separated I. And finally, a way in which we are different is by our forms of art. You’re art is all about what appeals to the ears and my art is all about what can captivate the eyes. While you may work hard at getting the perfect beat, tone and melody I work rigorously at creating perfection and a flawless-ness that the eye can fall in-love with. We are very different, Duke Ellington and yet that doesn’t change my respect for you.
